Mumbai : First line leaders are leaving support, MLAs have gone, MPs have gone, office bearers have also been replaced. After the rebellion of Eknath Shinde, the circle around Uddhav Thackeray has threatened his political existence. But the Shiv Sainiks are firm and expect Uddhav Thackeray to rebuild everything. One such story is that of Jagan Mohan Reddy from Andhra Pradesh. Whose father died in an accident when he was Chief Minister, after which even his own party rejected him. But Jagan Reddy stood up, fought and became Chief Minister. They currently have 150 MLAs out of 175 in Andhra Pradesh. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s story is that even Shiv Sainiks will get the strength to stand again.

When YSR Reddy died in September 2009, he was the most popular Chief Minister of the state. There is no measure of how to measure one’s popularity. But such was YSR’s popularity and his image in people’s minds that after his death in the helicopter accident, more than 350 people in Andhra lost their lives. In fact, at the time of his death, YSR Reddy was fielding his son Jagan as Chief Minister. 150 out of 157 MLAs of Congress had also given such signed letter. But before taking this decision, his helicopter crashed in the forest and he died.

This is where Jagan Reddy’s struggle begins. After the death of his father, he visited Delhi many times to make him the Chief Minister. Met Sonia Gandhi, Congress MLAs also supported. But Sonia Gandhi did not agree. But the real struggle came when Jagan Reddy was going to make a trip to the state. This yatra was to console the family members who died after the death of his father.. But Sonia Gandhi refused permission for this yatra.. But Jagan Reddy will listen.. He did the yatra.. Finally he wrote an emotional letter and announced that he was leaving the party due to the insults he was facing in the Congress. .

Jagan Reddy launched the party YSR Congress in the name of his father in 2011. But the Congress at the center did not abandon Jagan Reddy. In May 2012, Jagan Reddy was arrested by the CBI in the benami wealth case. He came out of jail after 16 months. Even while in jail, he went on fast and protested against the partition of Telangana. After Jagan Reddy came out, preparations started again, by which time the Congress had gone to bed and it was Modi’s time. In 2014, they did not get the success they wanted. But Jagan Reddy learned from the 2014 defeat and started preparing.

Jagan Reddy started preparing for 2019. Lok Sabha and Assembly elections were held simultaneously in Andhra Pradesh. Jagan Reddy took advantage of this. During the period of November 2017 to January 2019, the entire Andhra Pradesh was trekked. Traveled 3600 kms and reached 134 out of 175 constituencies, following in his father’s footsteps, connecting with farmers, poor… As a result, Jagan Reddy achieved a storming success in 2019. In Andhra Pradesh with 175 MLAs, Jagan Reddy won 150 seats, while in the Lok Sabha also he won 22 out of 25 seats and sent his MP to Delhi.

Jagan Reddy wiped out the existence of the Congress which once did not allow him to succeed his father in Andhra. An established politician like Chandrababu was cheated. Jagan Reddy today has always maintained a good relationship with the Modi government at the Center and this is the benefit to him in Andhra politics. The father who brought him into politics was not supported by his father, the party also left his support, but Jagan Reddy stood tall, fought and fulfilled his father’s dream by becoming Chief Minister..
