This woman’s name is Bitani Devi. Bitani is the fifth pass. She lives in Miraknagar village of Nigoha in Uttar Pradesh. 37 years ago, he got a buffalo as dowry in marriage. So he thought of starting his own milk dairy in 1985. His family members also agreed on his idea. With the support and help of her family, Bitanidevi started her own dairy. Today, Bitani has reaped the rewards of his years of hard work. Today they provide employment to 12 women.

The business that was started from a buffalo is now well established. At present they have 16 cows, 11 buffaloes. So we get 100 to 120 liters of milk per day. From feeding to milking the cattle, Bitani Devi does the work alone. Her husband was a teacher earlier. Now he is retired. They still work to boost Bitanidevi’s spirits, she says.

Bitani Devi sells milk to a company. At the same time, other women and men have also been added with them. Bitani Devi has received the Gokul Award consecutively since 2005. So, she is often in the top 5 in regional awards.
