The police have registered an FIR under the Rape and POCSO Act against the teacher. The incident took place at a government primary school in Aroli village under Ooty police station limits. Munshilal Mahur, 58, who teaches in this school, lives in Pinto Park area.

It is alleged that the teacher used to perform obscene acts with four female students between the ages of 6 and 8 studying in the school. The school has two rooms. One of these rooms is for children to study while the other room is for teachers. He used to call the students in this room under some pretext. Then he would undress and take pictures of them in his mobile phone.

One student bravely told everything

A student studying in this school used to keep silent for a long time. After that she refused to go to school for a day. This made her mother suspicious. She tried to talk to her daughter. She began to dig and dig and ask.

The girl narrated the whole incident to her mother. The student said that the teacher also did this with her friends. After this his family also spoke to other students. He also confirmed this incident. After this all the people gathered and reached the Ooty police station and filed a complaint against the accused teacher.

Police station in-charge Awadhesh Singh Kushwaha registered an FIR and arrested the accused immediately. The matter has been informed to Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh. This accused teacher has been dismissed.’
