Taking this matter seriously, the Chief Minister’s Office has constituted a committee to investigate the matter. The number of female students who have been seriously injured due to poisonous gas in this accident has now increased to 17. Out of these 5 students have been sent to Lucknow for treatment. CMO Dr. According to the information provided by Awadhesh, the accident has occurred due to carbon monoxide, a deadly gas from burnt medicines. This poisonous gas affects the heart and brain along with other parts of the body.

At King George Inter College, Kamariabagh, Nagar Kotwali area, a female student suddenly fainted during the class at around 10.30 am on Wednesday. Among them, 5 students were admitted to the district hospital in an unconscious state with the help of the police administration. After that, after reaching home, the condition of some students worsened. As soon as this was realized, the process of admitting him to the hospital was going on till late in the evening. The number of such students has now increased to 17. Among them, serious ones Afja Siddiqui, Nazia Ansari, Falak Siddiqui, Manvi and Imra have been sent to Lucknow. On the other hand, Khushi Gupta, Aslan Ali, Ashinka Verma, Huda, Elaham, Mohammad Amil, Sheikh Amin, Nancy Yadav, Shreya, Shaurya Mishra, Tuba and Accountant Laik Khan were admitted to the district hospital in trauma.

Student fainted due to carbon monoxide gas – CMO

CMO who reached the spot for investigation. Awadhesh Singh Yadav said that Shekhu, Sherali, Bablu, who were scavengers in the school’s graveyard, brought biomedical waste from a private hospital and burnt it. This waste was brought from a private hospital. Carbon monoxide gas was released when some expired medicines were burnt, leaving 15 female students critically ill.

Action after investigation by the team

The CMO said that this poisonous gas is very dangerous. Apart from the heart and brain, it also affects other parts of the body badly. A team has been formed in this matter and with the help of the police, an inquiry will be made as to which hospital these expired medicines were purchased from.

The agency disposes of expired drugs

CMO Dr. Awadhesh Singh Yadav said that there is no system for burning expired medicines. They dispose of them according to their own arrangements by burying them in the ground or through private hospital biomedical waste agencies.
