LIVE: The world’s largest covid 19 vaccination campaign, starting today

New Delhi: The world’s largest vaccination campaign against corona begins in India today (Saturday, January 16). Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the first phase of Covid 19 vaccination campaign in the country at 10.30 am through video conferencing. Doses of corona vaccine have been introduced in almost all the states in the country.

Drugs have been approved for emergency use by Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) Serum Institute’s Covishield and Bharat Biotech’s Covacin.

In the first phase of vaccination, health workers and frontline workers will be vaccinated. Simultaneous vaccination campaign will be launched across the country. As many as 3006 vaccination centers have been set up in all the states and union territories.
