Aligarh: A shocking incident has come to light in Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh where a youth was shot dead for just Rs 200. Police have arrested the accused.

A young man named Asif had gone to Ansar Ahmed’s shop on Saturday to ask for a motorcycle. Ansar, who was working on a tire puncture, refused to give him a motorcycle. According to police, Asif again came to Ansar’s shop and demanded Rs 200 from him. Ansar refused to pay him. Asif then shot Ansar in the head with a grenade. He then rode a young man’s two-wheeler.

Police reached the spot after getting information about the incident. They took the injured youth to a medical college for treatment. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident took place at Shamshad Market within the limits of Civil Lines Police Station in Aligarh. Police arrested Asif on November 29. Asif, who had absconded from the murder, has been arrested and his village Katta police have seized him.
