Greta Thunberg: BJP MP calls Greta Thunberg’s tweet ‘evidence of conspiracy’

New Delhi: BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi called the tweet by Greta Thunberg, a teenage environmental activist in Sweden, about the farmers’ movement a “conspiracy”.

Greta Thunberg, 18, recently tweeted, “We support the farmers’ movement in India.” Popular pop singer Rihanna also tweeted in support of the farmers’ agitation in India. Many international celebrities have since tweeted on the issue.

Speaking on social media on Wednesday, BJP leader Meenakshi Lekhi said Greta’s tweet was a “conspiracy”.

“Greta Thunberg’s tweet is proof of a conspiracy we already had.” The manner in which this conspiracy is being hatched has come to light, ‘said Meenakshi Lekhi.
