New Delhi: Padma Bhushan Mahasaya Dharmapal Gulati, head of the country’s renowned spice company Mahashay Di Hatti (MDH), has died at the age of 98. He is undergoing treatment at Mata Chandadevi Hospital. Last year, Dharmapal Gulati was honored with the Padma Bhushan by President Ramnath Kovind for his outstanding contribution in the field of trade and food processing. The country, including the Arya Samaj, is mourning the demise of Padma Bhushan Dharmapal Gulati.

Dharmapal Gulati, also known as MDH Masawale, died of a heart attack. He breathed his last at 5.39 this morning. He had been undergoing treatment at the hospital for the past several days due to illness.

Dharmapala was also a social worker. He also started several schools and hospitals. He had also provided 7500 PPE kits to Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia during the Corona outbreak.

Mahasaya Dharmapal Gulati was born on March 27, 1923 in Sialkot, Pakistan. They had only learned up to the fifth. He never got involved in his studies. His father Chunnilal thought he should learn a lot. He came to India after partition.
