RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat himself visited Mithun Chakraborty’s Mumbai home on Tuesday morning. The meeting took place on Tuesday morning. After that, this meeting is the subject of word of mouth in the political circles.

According to sources, Mithun Chakraborty had earlier visited Nagpur and met RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. In the meantime, he had invited Bhagwat to come to his house.

The visit of the RSS chief is considered important as the BJP is in search of a famous face ahead of the Bengal Assembly elections.

Mithun Chakraborty, however, has rejected all these discussions. ‘I have a spiritual connection with Mohan Bhagwat. He and I met in Lucknow. After that I had invited him to come to Awarjun’s house whenever he came to Mumbai. This meeting has nothing to do with politics’, explained Mithun.

Political experience

Known as a ‘disco dancer’, Mithun Chakraborty has experience in social work as well as political work. He has previously served as a Rajya Sabha MP. Remarkably, the Trinamool Congress had given Mithun Chakraborty a chance in the Rajya Sabha. However, Mithun had resigned from the Rajya Sabha just two years after the Sharad scam came to light.
