While on Facebook Live, the boat capsized and two young men died as they could not swim. Six young men were traveling in the boat.
According to police, six youths from Maritar village had taken a small boat into the waters of Surha Doha on Sunday afternoon. As there was no boatman, the young man was driving the boat himself. He started Facebook Live while having fun and having fun. Meanwhile, the boat lost control and capsized.
When the boat capsized, all the young people fell into the water. They shouted for help. At the sound of their voices, some nearby fishermen jumped into the water to rescue the young men, risking their lives, and pulled all six young men out of the water.
However, two of the youths were rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Here both young men were pronounced dead. The deceased have been identified as Anuj Gupta and Deepak Gupta. The other four are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Police have recovered both the bodies and are investigating the matter. There have been cases of people losing their lives in the wake of selfies, social media status, live. The police have appealed to the citizens not to do so at the risk of their lives.
