Meanwhile, a suspicious vehicle was stopped by police at Kongong in Ladrimbai police outpost area.
Police sounded the alarm in the vehicle with a registered number in Assam. According to Assistant Inspector General of Police GK Ingrai, ten boxes were found in the car. The boxes were filled with 250 kg of explosives. It also contained 2,500 gelatin sticks. Also, 1000 detonators were seized.

The police immediately arrested the two who were driving the vehicle. During the interrogation of the accused, the police got information about some more accused. Four more were later arrested from Khalihariat area. Meanwhile, police seized about 1275 kg of explosives (including 10,200 gelatin sticks) and 5,000 detonators.
According to Ingrai, a total of more than one and a half thousand (1525 kg) explosives were seized during the operation. The accused have been charged under the Explosives Act and other relevant sections. Further investigation is underway in this case.
