New Delhi: After the increase in petrol-diesel and domestic gas cylinder prices, now the prices of CNG and CNG-PNG are also rising (cng and png price hike). Indraprastha Gas Limited (igl) has announced a hike in CNG and PNG prices. On March 2, the CNG price hike will take effect in Delhi from 6 am tomorrow. CNG will increase to Rs 43.40 per kg and PNG to Rs 28.41 per cubic meter. These prices include value added tax (vat).

The hike in CNG and PNG prices will be applicable in Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Kanpur, Fatehpur, Hamirpur, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Karnal, Kaithal and Rewadi, the company said in a statement. In these cities, the price of CNG will increase by 70 paise per kg. The reason behind the increase in rates is said to be the fixed price of Indraprastha Gas Ltd. during the period of Kovid 19, increase in manpower cost and operating cost.

New rates for CNG

> Delhi – Rs 43.30 per kg
> Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad – Rs 49.08 per kg
> Kanpur, Hamirpur, Fatehpur – Rs 60.50 per kg
> Rewadi – Rs 54.10 per kg
> Karnal, Kaithal – Rs.51.38 per kg

> Delhi – Rs 28.41 per standard cubic meter
> Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad – Rs 28.36 per standard cubic meter
> Rewadi, Karnal – Rs 28.46 per standard cubic meter
> Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Meerut – Rs 32.67 per standard cubic meter

Discounts and cashback available

Home PNG customers will get a discount of Rs 15 if they use the self-billing option through the IGL Connect mobile app. IGL has continued its exclusive cashback scheme in a time of no rush to promote CNG refueling and cashless transactions. Under this scheme, if CNG is refilled at IGL CNG stations through IGL Smart Card from 11 am to 4 pm and from 12 noon to 6 pm, cashback of Rs 0.50 per kg is given.
