- Mobile confiscated from inmate
- Mobile found in barracks of Jaish-ul-Hind terrorist Tehseen Akhtar
- Information that telegram channel has been activated from this mobile
Police had found a link to the threatening ‘Jaish-ul-Hind’ telegram channel in Tihar Jail. The mobile phone was seized from the barracks of an Indian Mujahideen terrorist, sources said.
This is also raising questions about the security of Tihar Jail. How did a mobile phone reach a prison inmate despite the extremely high level of security? Such a question is also being raised from time to time.
The Delhi Special Cell raided Tihar Jail from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm on Thursday. The mobile was later seized from the barracks of Indian Mujahideen terrorist Tehseen Akhtar. It is said that the telegram channel has been activated from this mobile.
Tehseen Akhtar was arrested in connection with the bomb blast at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally at Gandhi Maidan in Patna, the Hyderabad blast and the Bodh Gaya bomb blast.
The mobile phone seized from Tehseen Akhtar’s barracks had a virtual number created through the ‘Tor Browser’. A threatening message was then created by creating a telegram account. Tehseen Akhtar will be remanded in custody and questioned by a special cell.
In addition, another number is on the radar of the special cell. This number was activated in September, after which it was discontinued.
Sources said the two mobile numbers were bought for some people who were locked up in Tihar with fake documents.
Maharashtra government is also investigating
On the other hand, the case has been handed over to the ATS by the Maharashtra government. However, the state government has reacted sharply to the Union Home Ministry’s order to hand over the probe to the NIA without trusting the Maharashtra government. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray himself had made a serious allegation that there was something wrong with handing over the probe to the ATS.
