New Delhi:The CBI has registered a case against several officers, including six lieutenant colonels, and their family members in connection with the army recruitment scam. In this case, the CBI conducted raids in more than 3 states. The CBI has registered the case under anti-corruption law and conspiracy to commit a crime following a complaint lodged by the Army headquarters. The complaint, which was lodged with the CBI by the Army Headquarters, also involved senior officers like Lieutenant Colonel Major. The CBI was still conducting raids at more than 12 places.

MCSNA Bhagwan in the Army Air Force Corps is the alleged mastermind behind the recruitment scam and a case has also been registered against him. The CBI has arrested Brigadier (Vigilance) V.S. K. The action was taken on the complaint of Purohit. The complaint said that on February 28, 2021, information was received that some officials were involved in corruption in passing the rejected candidates at the Base Hospital in New Delhi.

Lt. Col. Bhagwan is currently on study leave and Deputy Subhedar Kuldeep Singh is allegedly involved in soliciting bribes from candidates at SSB centers, officials said.
