Coronavirus: Rising corona infection threatens Gujarat, night curfew in four cities

Ahmedabad: Gujarat fears growing corona infection. Meanwhile, the state government has decided to impose night curfew in four major cities.

As per the decision taken by the state government, night curfew will be imposed in Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot and Vadodara from March 17 to March 31. This night curfew will be in force from 10.00 pm to 6.00 am.

Gujarat ranks fourth in the country in terms of corona infection. As many as 800 new patients have been admitted in Gujarat in a single day, according to figures released on Tuesday morning.

According to the data released by the Ministry of Health, 2 lakh 77 thousand 397 patients have been found in Gujarat so far. Of these, 2 lakh 68 thousand 775 patients have recovered and returned home while 4 thousand 200 are undergoing treatment. As many as 4,425 people have lost their lives due to corona.

Apart from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Punjab, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Delhi and Andhra Pradesh are also witnessing an increase in corona infection. A total of 77% of active patients in the country are from Maharashtra, Kerala and Punjab.
