The director of the hospital, Shubhashish Mitra, said that he had many problems. He formed a medical team to treat Samantha. With proper care, his health began to improve. “We are very happy that we were able to cure Samantha and send her home for her 100th birthday,” Mitra said. Doctors, nurses and other hospital staff sang for him as Samanta left home by ambulance on Saturday, as well as giving him flowers and sweets.
