Hyderabad: A shocking case of child marriage has come to light in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. A student of a school in Reza Mahendravaram area of ​​the district got married to his girlfriend in class. This student put Mangalsutra on the student and made her kumkum. They are both minors. The video of the incident went viral on social media, causing a stir. The police have registered a case under the Child Marriage Act, 2006.

This student bought a mangalsutra and kumkum from the market for the girl and he reached the school directly. The girl was still in class at the time. This student first put Mangalsutra on the girl and then put kumkum in her bhanga. This time some friends made a video of the occasion. After the video went viral on social media, everyone understood about this marriage.

The Women’s Commission will give shelter to the girl

The girl has been counseled, police officials said. Police are investigating who married the minors in the class. On the other hand, Navara and Navari are students in the same class, said Vasireddy Padma, chairperson of the Andhra Pradesh Women’s Commission. He also said that the women’s commission would give shelter to the minor girl.
