Bhilwara: A major accident took place at Hanuman Nagar on the Jaipur-Kota highway from Bhilwara in Rajasthan on Tuesday night. A truck passing on the highway overturned due to a power outage in Tikad village here. The truck contained 450 cylinders of domestic gas. As soon as the truck overturned, they caught fire and the cylinder exploded. Several cylinders exploded one after another. The explosion of the cylinder starts in about two and a half hours. Due to this incident, National Highway-52 was jammed for about 17 hours. Passengers bound for Kota, Ajmer and Jaipur were already detained on Wednesday morning. The traffic was diverted and it was diverted from Jahajpur to Basoli turn.
Police were deployed for security due to the incident. Gas company employees were also called. After this, only cylinder pieces were collected from the surrounding area. The injured truck driver and cleaner are being treated at Deoli Hospital. The truck, loaded with cylinders, was traveling from Nasirabad to Bhavanimandi in Kota.
The incident was so severe that the flames were visible from a distance of 5-7 km. Upon learning of the incident, police and fire brigade from Hanuman Nagar police station rushed to the spot. But no one was able to get close to the truck due to the explosion of the cylinder and the fire.
The power went off at 8 pm near Tikad village turn and the truck overturned due to loud noise. This time some of the cylinders caught fire and started exploding. The incident shook the village adjacent to the highway. Due to the explosion, the cylinder was flying and falling at a distance of about 1 km.

Due to the explosion of the cylinder, it was not possible to stand at a distance of 150 meters from the spot. The fire brigade could not reach the spot. The truck driver jumped and saved his life. But the flames engulfed him to some extent.
