New Delhi: The growing number of coronavirus patients in the country has raised the concern of the government (coronavirus india). From the officials to the Chief Ministers of the states, daily meetings are being held to review the situation. Meanwhile, Congress Acting President Sonia Gandhi has written a letter to Prime Minister Modi. He has expressed concern over the situation.

We have held discussions with the Chief Ministers of the states which have Congress and allied governments. We have also talked to many ministers. Corona has made the situation worse. Corona vaccine is in short supply in many states. The problem is exacerbated by the increasing prevalence of corona. The government should take care of those who earn their living every day. He should deposit Rs 6,000 per month in his account. This will not cause them any more difficulties in life, Sonia Gandhi said in the letter.

The coronavirus vaccine is our biggest weapon. Most states have stocks of vaccines for 3 to 5 days. In such cases, there is a need to increase the production of vaccines against coronavirus. The age limit for vaccination against coronavirus should be further removed. Sonia Gandhi also demanded that vaccines should be supplied to the states where corona is more prevalent, considering the situation.

In the fight against corona, the necessary equipment, materials, medicines and ancillary infrastructure should be exempted from GST. Apart from this, GST should also be removed from ventilators, oximeters, oxygen cylinders, remedesivir and dexamethasone, Sonia said.

‘Special scheme for the poor’

Curfews, lockdowns and travel bans are being imposed to prevent the spread of corona. This can hurt the economy. The worst hit will be poverty and wage labor. As a result, the central government should implement a special scheme for them and deposit money in their accounts. Like last year, migrant workers have returned to their villages. This is worrying. In a letter, Sonia Gandhi demanded that the government pay attention to them.
