Prime Minister Modi has instructed the states to supply oxygen by holding a meeting. Accordingly, on April 20, April 25 and April 30, 4880 tonnes, 5619 tonnes and 6593 tonnes of oxygen will be supplied to the states respectively. The supply will be given priority to the states including Maharashtra which have the highest number of coronary heart disease patients.
As the number of corona patients is increasing, many states, including Maharashtra, are experiencing severe oxygen shortages. Against this backdrop, the central government has decided to import 50,000 metric tonnes of oxygen.

The 12 states in the country have the highest number of coronary heart disease patients. These include Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan. Against the backdrop of all these circumstances, Prime Minister Modi has convened this review meeting.
