The poor should not be affected in such a situation. As a result, the central government has rushed to the aid of the poor. It has been decided to re-launch the Prime Minister’s Garib Kalyan Yojana (pm garib kalyan anna yojana). According to this scheme, 5 kg of grain will be given to the beneficiaries free of cost. It is estimated that about 80 crore people in the country will benefit from this scheme (center to provide free food grains).

Union Minister Piyush Goyal has thanked Prime Minister Modi for resuming the Prime Minister’s Poor Welfare Food Scheme. Goyal tweeted. “It shows our commitment to the welfare of the poor,” Goyal said in a tweet.

Under this scheme, 5 kg of grain will be given free of cost every month for two months. For this, a burden of Rs 26,000 crore fell on the central government. Earlier last year, during the Corona crisis, the central government had provided relief to the poor under the Prime Minister’s Poor Welfare Food Scheme.
