New Delhi: The second wave of corona infection is underway in the country. Over 2 lakh patients have been found in the country in the last few days. As a result, states with the highest incidence of coronary heart disease have to deal with oxygen supply, including medicines. Now, the Union Home Ministry has issued orders to the states (oxygen transporting vehicles) to ensure smooth supply of oxygen. The order was issued after a review meeting chaired by Home Minister Amit Shah.

The growing number of corona patients in the country has created a huge shortage of oxygen. Against this backdrop, Union Home Minister Amit Shah reviewed the situation in the country. He also ordered that the supply of medical oxygen be restored. States and Union Territories have been directed to monitor the supply of medical oxygen and distribute it properly, the Home Ministry said.

The Union Home Ministry has written letters to the States and Union Territories in this regard. Adequate security should be provided to vehicles transporting medical oxygen. The Center also said that special corridors should be set up to ensure timely and smooth supply of oxygen. The central government has currently banned the supply of oxygen for industrial use. But the home ministry has made it clear that the supply of oxygen to essential industries will continue.
