Delhi Police raids Khan Market
According to Delhi Police, 96 oxygen concentrators were seized from Khan Chacha Restaurant and Town Hall Restaurant in Khan Market area on Friday.
Meanwhile, Gaurav Khanna, Satish Sethi, Vikrant and Hitesh were arrested from Lodhi Colony in South Delhi. All four are accused of blackmailing the oxygen concentrator. Police later found a total of 419 oxygen concentrators in the possession of the gang. Oxygen concentrators purchased for Rs 16,000 were being sold to needy citizens for Rs 50,000.
The restaurant owner’s name is Navneet Kalra
According to police, the owner of ‘Khan Chacha Restaurant’ and ‘Town Hall Restaurant’ is Navneet Kalra. Oxygen concentrators were seized in a raid on another restaurant, ‘Negi Zoo Restaurant’ in Central Market, Lodhi Colony, Kalra, on Wednesday. A man sitting here with a laptop was accepting an online order. Police found 32 boxes of concentrator, thermal scanner and N95 mask at the spot. According to the accused, the goods were stored in a warehouse in Chhatarpur for black market.
Who is Navneet Kalra?
Police have sealed the restaurant and the owner of the restaurant, Navneet Kalra, is absconding with his family. As soon as he came to know about the raids, he turned off his mobile phone and went underground. The accused Navneet Kalra is a well-known businessman. Many of his sources of income are Dayal Opticals, Khan Chacha, Nege & Jew, Town Hall Restaurant Bar, Mr. Chow. According to Delhi Police, Navneet Kalra is the mastermind behind the black market case of medical literature. Delhi Police are investigating to find him.
