Hyderabad: Genetic material of corona virus has been found in some other lakes including Hussain Sagar lake in Hyderabad. This has come to light from a study (hussainsagar lake infested with coronavirus). However, the study also found that the infection did not spread further. Apart from Hussain Sagar Lake, genetic material of Corona virus has also been found in Pedda Chervu and Nizam Lake in Nacharam. This genetic material of corona in lake water has been growing since February this year. Since then, the second wave of corona has started in the country.

The study was conducted by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, the Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology and the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research. The first and second waves of the corona have been studied in a study done in 7 months.
