drdo: DRDO develops antibody detection test kit to help treat coronavirus

New Delhi: DRDO has developed an antibody detection test kit for early detection of corona. DRDO’s lab has developed a DIPCOVAN, DIPAS-VDx COVID 19 IgG antibody microwave ELISA based on antibody detection. The kit can detect corona virus and nucleocapsid (S&N) proteins with 97% high sensitivity and 99% specificity. This information is provided by DRDO.

The kit has been developed in collaboration with Vanguard Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd., Delhi. This kit is completely indigenous and has been developed by Indian scientists. After a detailed examination of more than 1000 patient samples at various hospitals in Corona, Delhi, its capacity has been sealed. When this kit comes on the market, it will help in corona antibody test and speed up the test.

DCGI approval for 2-DG drug

The Drug Controller General of India has authorized the emergency use of 2-DG drug. The drug will be given in powder form in one sash. It has to be mixed with water and taken by the patient. This drug is able to prevent the spread of coronary infection by going to the infected cells. Patients should take this medicine on the advice of a doctor. This medicine should be taken twice a day in the morning and evening for at least 5 to 7 days on the advice of a doctor. Although the drug has been launched, it has not yet hit the market.
