New Delhi:Air India has suffered a major setback. Air India’s data has been leaked. According to ANI, data of 45 lakh Air India customers in India and abroad has been leaked.

Passenger data between August 26, 2011 and February 3, 2021 has been leaked. This includes date of birth, name, contact, passport information, ticket information, password data of Star Alliance and Air India Flyer data and credit card information, Air India said.

The data of 45 lakh passengers has been stolen in the data leak case. But no one’s credit card and CVV-CVC number data is kept in our process. But its security has been beefed up after the server was hacked. No data theft has been reported since then, Air India said, according to ANI.

Immediate steps have been taken to secure the data. An investigation is underway into this data leak case. For this, the help of outside data security experts is being sought. Credit card companies have been instructed to change customer passwords. Also, Air India has asked regular passengers to change their passwords.
