New Delhi: On the Line of Control (LoC) in East Ladakh, the Army Chief General M. M. Narwane reviewed the Army’s operational readiness on the northern border applicable to the Arunachal Pradesh sector. Army Chief Narwane appreciated the vigilance of the jawans. But General Narwane also advised to be very vigilant on the LAC and to be alert to the objections of the Chinese troops across the border.

The movement of Chinese troops beyond the LAC in eastern Ladakh has increased in recent days. In this context, it is important for Army Chief General Narwane to review the security situation along the Arunachal-Sikkim border. As a result, Army Chief General Narwane arrived in Dimapur on a two-day visit on Thursday. On the first day, he reviewed the operational readiness of the troops on the Chinese border near Arunachal Pradesh. He then reviewed the security challenges of the northeastern states on the border with Myanmar. The review meeting was attended by Lieutenant General Johnson Matthew, Commander of the Army Headquarters in Dimapur and senior officers of the Army including General Officer Commanding.

The Indian Army is more cautious than China’s past experience

The Indian Army is taking precautionary measures against the backdrop of increasing movement of Chinese troops on the LAC and ongoing tensions in East Ladakh. The Indian Army is even more vigilant than ever, given the dark history of China’s atrocities, especially on the borders with Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim.

Near Ladakh, annual studies and training are conducted by the Chinese army. It is still going on and the Indian Army is keeping a close watch on their movements. Also, the army is fully prepared to face any situation. Also, the Indian Army will not reduce its troop deployment on the northern border unless Chinese troops withdraw from the LAC area from East Ladakh, Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Narwane said on Wednesday.
