Each 1200 mg dose will contain 600 mg Casirivimab and 600 mg Imdevimab. The price of each dose has been fixed at Rs 59,750. The wholesale price of this dose pack will be Rs. 1 lakh 19 thousand 500. Two patients can be treated in each pack, the company said in a statement.
The drug will be launched in the Indian market by Cipla and will be available to all in mid-June. The first batch of the drug is available in India, while the second batch will be available by mid-June. One lakh packs have been made available in India, which can treat about two lakh patients, a joint statement issued by Cipla and Roche said.
The drug will be available at leading hospitals and Kovid centers in India. The drug was recently given emergency clearance by the Central Drug Control Agency (CDSCO). The drug had previously been approved in Europe and the United States.
