Farm Laws: Sidhu raises ‘black flag’ in support of farmers

New Delhi: Tomorrow (May 26) marks six months of the farmers’ agitation against agricultural laws on the Delhi border. Meanwhile, Navjot Singh Sidhu, a former cricketer and disgruntled Congress leader from Punjab, has once again openly expressed his support for the farmers’ movement. Supporting the farmers’ movement, Sidhu hoisted a black flag on the roofs of his houses in Patiala and Amritsar. At the same time, Punjab MLA Navjot Singh Sidhu has strongly criticized the government.

The whole of Punjab is fighting against three black agricultural laws. These laws are designed to deplete the income of farmers. The law is a ploy to kick small traders and laborers in the stomach. Punjab’s struggle against these laws will continue, said Navjot Singh Sidhu.

“I have hoisted this black flag on my house as a sign of breaking the black laws,” Sidhu said. Sidhu also claimed that there will be no peace without changing the system.

Stepping into the political arena from the world of cricket, Sidhu appealed to the people of Punjab to join the war. He also said that the path of development of Punjab passes through farmers.

Meanwhile, farmers ‘organizations have appealed to observe May 26 as’ Black Day ‘as the farmers’ movement is completing six months. The Indian Farmers’ Association (BKU) has claimed that a large number of farmers from Punjab are marching towards the Delhi border.
