Bareilly: The allegations made by a youth against the police in Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh during the Corona transition period are very shocking. A youth has made a serious allegation that he was earlier beaten by the police with sticks as he was not wearing a mask and when he resisted, the police nailed his hands and feet.

It is understood that the incident took place on May 24. On May 26, a local youth named Ranjit had lodged a complaint with the office of the Senior Superintendent of Police. He complained that the police blindfolded him and nailed his limbs.

While he was sitting outside his house at night without a mask, the police on patrol caught him and brought him to the police station. The young man’s relatives have alleged that his limbs were nailed here.

However, the police have refuted the allegations made by the youth. The youth fled the scene after arguing with the police after being asked to wear a mask, police said.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police Rohit Singh Sanjwad, a case has been registered against the youth under eight different sections after he escaped from the clutches of the police. He pretended to be attacked by the police to escape arrest.

Police also expressed suspicion that the youth had nailed his own limbs to escape arrest. Some complaints have already been lodged against the youth, police said. The youth was charged with breaking an idol in a temple in 2019. In this case, he had to stay in jail for a few days.
