New Delhi: The central government has expressed strong displeasure (covid vaccination) over the ‘hotel package’ of private hospitals. The Union Health Ministry has issued a letter to the states in this regard. The central government has said in a letter that vaccination facilities in private hotels should be closed immediately. Some private hospitals are offering vaccination campaigns. It is also offering vaccinations along with luxury facilities in hotels, the central government said in a letter to the states and union territories.

This facility offered by private hospitals and hotels is in violation of the guidelines and regulations given under the country’s vaccination campaign. As a result, vaccination facilities with such hotel packages should be discontinued immediately. The Union Ministry of Health has directed that private hospitals which have entered into agreements with hotels for such vaccinations should cancel them immediately.

There are only 4 options for vaccination. The first is the government covid vaccination center, the second is the private vaccination center run by private hospitals, the third is the vaccination center set up in government offices and the vaccination center run by private hospitals in the offices of private companies. The central government has warned that only vaccination centers for senior citizens and persons with disabilities will be set up near their homes, and nowhere else.

Vaccination can be done anywhere in the 4 options given by the Central Government for vaccination. But vaccinations are not allowed anywhere else. As a result, the offer of vaccination in five star hotels is against the vaccination orders. These types should be stopped immediately. Action should be taken by the administration along with legal action against the organizations violating the orders and rules. Are all the States and Union Territories following the guidelines on vaccination? The central government has said that this should be monitored.
