JK: Terrorists break into police officer’s house, fire destroys family

Jammu and Kashmir: Within 24 hours of the drone strike in Jammu on Sunday, militants shot dead his wife, along with former special police officer Fayyaz Ahmed, in the Pulwama area of ​​Kashmir. Terrorists broke into a house in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district and killed a former Special Police Officer (SPO) and his wife. The couple’s minor daughter was seriously injured in the shooting. The incident happened on Sunday night.

According to police, the house of former special police officer Fayyaz Ahmed was attacked by terrorists in the dark of night. The militants entered the house and fired shots at the police officer and his wife Raja Begum. The incident took place around 11.00 pm in Iriparigam area of ​​Avantipora area of ​​Pulwama.

Fayyaz Ahmed died on the spot. His wife and minor daughter were rushed to hospital. However, Raja Begum died while undergoing treatment. Rafia Hine, who was critically injured, also breathed her last within hours.

Security forces cordoned off the area after the incident. A search operation has also been launched to nab the terrorists.

Earlier, a bomb had exploded at an Air Force base in Jammu on Sunday morning. The drone strike on the Jammu Air Force base came from Pakistan, intelligence sources said. This is the first time that drone strikes have targeted Indian military bases in the country.
