Due to the flood of Sindh river, there is a backlog in Datia. Home Minister Narottam Mishra himself visited the flood-hit area to review the rescue efforts. But they got stuck in the floodwaters. Narottam Mishra, wearing a life jacket, reached Kotra village in flood-hit Datia by NDRF motor boat. Here they saw some citizens trapped in the flood waters. Narottam Mishra himself went to the roof of the house. The SDRF evacuated all the stranded civilians. But Home Minister Narottam Mishra himself was caught in the flood.

As Narottam was leaving, a tree fell on his boat. It is said that the motor of his boat stopped due to this. It is also said that the motor boat was not moving due to the high speed of the water. But because of this, Narottam Mishra was stuck in the flood waters for a long time. They were eventually airlifted out by an Air Force helicopter. Four villagers were evacuated before Home Minister Mishra was evicted.

Home Minister Narottam Mishra was inspecting the flood-hit areas between Datia and Dabra by air and boat. He reviewed the rising water levels of rivers in Datia. This time, he ordered the flood victims to visit and make proper arrangements for their meals and accommodation.
