New Delhi: In India, the combined use of two vaccines, Covishield and Covacin, has been approved by the Drug Controller General of India (DGCI). Accordingly, one dose of Covishield and another dose of Corona vaccine will be given in the test. The result will then be checked.

This is the first time such a method has been studied in India against the backdrop of corona infection. Similar studies have already begun in some countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom.

In India, the Christian Medical College (CMC) in Tamil Nadu is currently allowed to conduct the study. 300 healthy volunteers will be given one dose each of Covishield and Covacin.

This test will be conducted in two groups. The first group will be given the first dose of covacin vaccine, while the second group will be given the first dose of covshield vaccine. The second dose will be a different vaccine.

According to some experts who have studied the Covid 19 vaccine, the combined use of two different vaccines has been shown to be more effective. Two vaccines can be used from a medical point of view, but more studies are needed for this. Expressed by VK Paul.

The World Health Organization has so far recommended that the same vaccine be used for both doses. There is no need to take an extra dose of the first vaccine if the second dose is given by mistake.
