RT-PCR testing is not required if both doses of the vaccine have been taken

New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Tourism has written letters to the states and Union Territories with some instructions. Accordingly, it has been suggested to implement uniform rules for travel across the country. Passengers taking both doses of Corona vaccine should be exempted from showing RV-PCR certificate of Covid test, the Center has also directed the states and Union Territories. Therefore, the rule is likely to be announced by the states soon.

Against the backdrop of Corona, it is still mandatory for passengers coming from some states like West Bengal, Karnataka, Goa, Chhattisgarh to show RT-PCR certificate. The same rule applies to passengers taking both doses of the corona vaccine. However, in some states, citizens taking both doses of the corona vaccine are allowed to travel without a ‘negative RT-PCR certificate’.
