Afghanistan Crisis: Airspace closed, Air India flight to Kabul canceled

New Delhi: A special Air India flight from India to rescue Afghan nationals has been canceled. The plane was going from Delhi to Kabul. However, the flight of Air India was canceled due to the closure of airspace in the Afghan capital.

Initially, the Air India flight was scheduled to take off from Delhi at 8.30 am for Kabul. However, due to the situation, the flight was postponed till 12.30 pm. Now the flight has been canceled.

A notice has been issued for civil aircraft entering and exiting Kabul airspace. According to the notice, Airspace has been issued for the Army. It also said that civilian aircraft entering the airspace would not receive any assistance from the Kabul ATC.

An Air India flight returned to India safely

Earlier, a special Air India flight carrying 129 Indians and other passengers from Afghanistan, including staff working at the Indian embassy, ​​arrived in India. The AI ​​244 had taken off from Kabul airport at 6.06 pm yesterday. On Sunday, the Taliban easily took control of the Afghan capital, Kabul. An Air India flight had taken off from here at the time of the incident.

Former MP from Afghanistan is also in India

The passengers of the plane expressed their concern for their relatives and friends behind them in Afghanistan, saying, “The world has left Afghanistan in the lurch.” The passengers include some Afghans and former MP Jamil Karzai.

‘I had to run away from there, you must have noticed the situation there. President Ashraf Ghani’s team is a traitor who betrayed the people of Afghanistan. “People will not forgive them,” said Jamil Karzai, a former Afghan MP.

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has fled the country after suffering a crushing defeat at the hands of the Taliban. On Sunday, Gani left for Tajikistan with National Security Adviser Hamdullah Muhib and the head of President Fazal Mahmoud Fazli’s administrative office. Some MPs fled to Islamabad. They include Mir Rahman Rahmani, Speaker of the Afghan Parliament, Younis Qanuni, Muhammad Muhaqq, Karim Khalili, Ahmed Wali Masood and Ahmed Zia Masood.
