The Omicron variant launched in India on Thursday. Two patients of this variant were found in Karnataka. Five of the patients in contact with it were found to be coronary. Therefore, while precautions are being taken everywhere, 9 members of the same family have been found infected in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Four of them have South African connections.

Four members of the family had returned from South Africa. While his covid test was positive, everyone else in the family was tested for covid. A total of 14 people were tested and 9 of them tested positive. South Africa is a high risk country for Omicron. With this in mind, immediate steps have been taken. All four who returned from South Africa have been admitted to the isolation ward at RUHS Hospital and samples from the four have been sent for genome sequencing, a senior health official said. Chief Health Officer of Jaipur Dr. Narottam Sharma also gave more details. Only after the genome sequencing report came out could it be clear whether the four from South Africa were infected with Omicron. Until then, we are taking full precautions. The other five have been placed under immediate house arrest, he said.
Meanwhile, the second wave of corona infection in Rajasthan has come under complete control. Currently, Corona has only 213 active patients. Of these, 114 patients are from Jaipur alone. The main thing is that on November 1, the number of patients in the state was zero.
