SDPI’s Secretary of State K. S. Shaan was assassinated Saturday evening. He was killed on the way home. Shaan was riding his bike home. At that moment, they were attacked by a mob from a car. Shaan, who was critically injured in the attack, was admitted to a hospital in Kochi late last night for treatment. He died there, police said.

The SDPI has accused the RSS workers of murder in the case. The SDPI also said that they had hatched a conspiracy to assassinate him.

Less than 12 hours after the assassination of SDPI leader, unknown persons broke into the house of Kerala BJP OBC secretary Ranjit Srinavasan and killed him. As a result, Kerala has been shaken by these two political assassinations. Both the murders are being investigated by the Kerala Police. BJP and SDPI have accused each other of murder. The BJP has alleged that Ranjit was stabbed.

Such heinous and inhumane acts of violence are dangerous for the state. “I am sure that everyone will be ready to identify and separate such killer groups and their hateful attitude,” Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan told a press conference.
