The allegation made by Arshad Rana, a local BSP leader in Muzaffarnagar, has caused a stir in Uttar Pradesh. Rana has targeted BSP’s western Uttar Pradesh in-charge Shamsuddin Rain. Rana made a serious allegation that Raine had laundered Rs 67 lakh from me in the name of candidature and now a conspiracy is being hatched to give candidature to another person by cutting off my address. Rana has reached the police station directly and lodged a complaint. While presenting his complaint to the police inspector, Rana burst into tears and the police recovered him.

‘The leader of my own party has played with my feelings. This leader announced in 2018 that I will be given candidature. Accordingly, I was given the charge of Charthawal constituency. After doing all this, I am being told that the candidature will be given to another person. This is an injustice to me and if I do not get justice, I will go to Lucknow and set myself on fire in front of Mayawati’s house ‘, Rana warned. I have been faithfully working for BSP for the last 24 years. I held several positions of responsibility. At the same time, I am being harassed, said Rana.

Meanwhile, police have launched an inquiry into Rana’s complaint and have not given any further details.
