Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Manish Sisodia today presented a budget of Rs 78,000 crore. This was the eighth budget of the AAP government. In his budget speech, Sisodia made big announcements for Delhiites. ‘Revolutionary work has taken place in Delhi in the last seven years. We strive for the overall development of Delhi. Last year, the AAP government presented a budget with patriotism at the center, but this time we have come up with a budget that provides employment. We have set a target of 2 million new jobs in Delhi in the next five years and it will definitely be achieved, ‘said Sisodia.

Sisodia expressed his desire to make Delhi a new food hub. A new food truck policy will be introduced and food trucks will be allowed to operate from 8 pm to 2 am. This will boost the night life in Delhi and also create employment, said Sisodia. The number of cloud kitchens is increasing by 20% every year. At present there are over 20,000 cloud kitchens and more than two lakh jobs have been created out of them. In the next five years, another 42,000 jobs will be created through Cloud Kitchen, Sisodia said. The budget has allocated Rs 9,669 crore for health, Rs 16,278 crore for education and Rs 9,539 crore for transport. All the citizens of Delhi will be given e-health cards which will enable them to get better and timely treatment. 160 crore has been provided for this. The government has set aside Rs 3,250 crore for subsidy on electricity in the current financial year. The AAP government has announced the launch of a shopping festival in Delhi to boost the retail market. It will attract customers from all over the world.
