In view of all these conditions, the scheme has been extended for six months. About 80 crore people are benefiting from this scheme and 5 kg of foodgrains are being provided free of cost per person per month. Prime Minister Modi’s Twitter handle has also been tweeted about this. In order for the country to be strong, every citizen of the country needs to be strong and that is why the poor welfare scheme is being extended, the tweet said.
