Cyber ​​attack on Ladakh’s power grid by Chinese hackers to get intelligence

New Delhi: The last few months have seen constant tensions between India and China in the Ladakh region. Although the two armies have not clashed since the conflict in the Galvan Valley, Chinese atrocities continue in the area. A similar pattern has emerged recently. According to him, China is likely to target power distribution centers in India. A power grid in Ladakh has been the target of a cyber attack by some Chinese hackers. In the last few months, there have been attempts by Chinese hackers to target India’s energy sector through cyber attacks. This is according to a report by Recorded Future, an organization working in the field of cyber security.

According to the report, Chinese hackers are keeping an eye on seven power load regulation centers in North India. These load shedding centers regulate and distribute electricity to power generators in the vicinity of the Indo-China border. One of the centers had been the target of a cyber attack by Chinese hackers in the past. What is special is that the software used by the Chinese military for these cyber attacks is Shadopad. It is alleged that the ambassador provided the information to China. This information could be useful to China for future actions.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry did not respond to a request for comment. China has previously denied involvement in such cyber-attacks. The central government has not yet commented on the matter.
