It is estimated that the XE variant can propagate at speeds up to 10 times that of Omicron. Therefore, if this variant is introduced in India, the number of corona patients is likely to increase significantly.

What are the symptoms of ‘XE’ variant?

Patients infected with this new variant of Corona may experience symptoms such as fever, sore throat, cough, cold, skin rash, and stomach upset, experts said. About 600 cases of the virus have been reported worldwide so far. Although the incidence of this virus is still low, there is a risk of an outbreak in the future.
