The letter submitted by the All India Hindu Mahasabha to the Chief Justice contains a number of arguments. Mosques, Eidgahs and Dargahs are not places of worship but places of public meeting and assembly. That is why these places should be declared as community meeting places, the petition said. When Islam was founded and the Quran was composed, there were no loudspeakers. After that, loudspeakers were nowhere to be found in the spread of Islam. The petition also argues that there is no direct link between loudspeakers and Islam. Loudspeakers should be allowed in all religious places only on festivals. It should be banned on other days, the letter said. A hearing on the petition has not yet been fixed.
