Ahmedabad: Hardik Patel, one of the leading figures of the Patidar community in Gujarat, is rumored to be leaving the Congress and joining the BJP. Hardik Patel’s WhatsApp DP has sparked controversy in political circles. In this DP, a saffron colored rug is seen around Hardik Patel’s neck. Two days ago, Hardik Patel had removed the Congress party symbol from the profile picture. Since then, there have been rumors that Hardik Patel will quit the Congress.

A few days back, Hardik Patel had expressed his displeasure over the working of the Congress organization in Gujarat. The party organization is trying to get you out of trouble. Also, the Congress leadership in Gujarat is not keen to use my skills, said Hardik Patel. Hardik Patel had led the Patidar movement in Gujarat in 2015.

Hardik Patel is currently the Executive President of Gujarat Congress. However, in recent times, Hardik Patel has been consistently seen expressing displeasure with the Congress leadership. He had expressed displeasure that he did not have the authority to take any decision in the party. Hardik Patel is not angry with Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. Hardik Patel appreciates BJP’s decisions

Patel had also said that BJP had done a great job by starting construction of Ram Mandir and deleting Section 370. Therefore, discussions have intensified that Hardik Patel will join the BJP.

Assembly elections are being held in Gujarat by the end of this year. If Hardik Patel joins the BJP before this election, the party is likely to benefit greatly. In the last election, the Patidar community had distanced itself from the BJP. However, if Hardik Patel joins the party, the BJP’s side will be even stronger.
