In this difficult time of Sri Lanka, which is in financial crisis, India has run for crisis. India is providing all possible assistance to Sri Lanka. India is also helping Sri Lanka out of this crisis. By Sunday, India has proposed to send essential goods to Sri Lanka, from medicines to foodstuffs. India is supplying 9000 MT of rice, 200 MT of milk powder and 24 MT of medicine to Sri Lanka. All the goods will reach Sri Lanka by Sunday.

The Indian government is sending goods worth about Rs 45 crore to Sri Lanka. Earlier, India had also helped Sri Lanka. So, Sri Lanka also thanked India for its help. Meanwhile, some experts have said that India has adopted this strategy in view of China’s growing dominance over Sri Lanka.

China owes a debt of gratitude to Sri Lanka
China’s debt trap is believed to be one of the main reasons behind the political instability in Sri Lanka. Everything from erroneous farming policies, the prevalence of the corona and tourism to the failed projects like Hambantota are being analyzed. The economic and political upheaval in Sri Lanka also appears to be the main reason for China’s mountain of debt.
