Major accident in Himachal Pradesh; 16 killed in bus accident

Kullu: A terrible incident has taken place at Kullu in Himachal Pradesh. It is reported that the bus crashed in Sage valley on Monday. There were a total of 45 passengers in this bus. Of these, 16 have died. The dead included school-going students.

The bus was coming from Sanj valley to Shanshar city. Meanwhile, at a turn called Jungla, the driver lost control of the bus and the bus crashed directly into the valley. It was a private bus. The bus was carrying students from the school along with some local passengers who were on their way to school at Sanj. According to Kullu SP Gurudev Sharma, two squads of police have been dispatched immediately after learning of the bus accident.

The place where the accident took place is said to be a remote area. The bus crashed into a deep ravine, completely shattering the bus. Police and Collector have rushed to the spot. The bus was damaged due to the severity of the accident and the number of people trapped under the bus is yet to be ascertained. The local administration has expressed fears of an increase in the death toll.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has tweeted about the bus accident in Himachal Pradesh. I am with you on this tragic occasion. Who have been seriously injured in this accident. I hope you get well soon. The local administration is helping the injured passengers, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said. Also, the Prime Minister has announced financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh for the passengers who lost their lives in the accident. So, Rs 50,000 has been announced for the injured.
