west bengal ssc recruitment scam ed carrying out search operations: In the SSC scam case in West Bengal, Enforcement Directorate conducted raids today. According to sources in the ED, the agency got nearly Rs 20 crore in cash from this raid session. ED has tweeted the photo of the seized notes.

Another team of ED officials reached the officer’s house in Mekhliganj in Cooch Behar district. He questioned the officer’s family members. Officials also raided the house of Manik Bhattacharya, former president of the West Bengal Board of Primary Education, located in Jadavpur area of the city.
There were complaints of corruption in the recruitment of C and D class staff and teachers in aided schools by the West Bengal School Service Commission. The High Court took notice of them. After this, CBI took up the investigation of the case. Money laundering is suspected in this case. Therefore, ED has also started action and raids are being conducted at many places.
Chatterjee, currently the Industries Minister, was the Education Minister at the time of the alleged scam. CBI has interrogated him twice. On April 25, he first inquired. He was also interrogated on May 18. The CBI has also interrogated the education officials.
