New Delhi : MIA chief MP Asaduddin Owaisi has submitted a private bill demanding that youth who have completed 20 years of age be allowed to stand for Lok Sabha elections. According to Asaduddin Owaisi, a youth who has completed 20 years of age should be allowed to contest the Lok Sabha elections. So, he has demanded that the condition for becoming a Legislative Council member should be 22 years and for becoming a Rajya Sabha MP, the condition should be 25 years.


MP Asaduddin Owaisi has introduced a private bill in the monsoon session of Parliament. Accordingly, there are different age limits for various elections across the country. Owaisi demands that the youth should be given a chance by lowering the age limit. Asaduddin Owaisi has demanded that 20 years should be a condition for contesting Lok Sabha elections.

Asaduddin Owaisi has submitted a private bill in Lok Sabha in this regard. Owaisi suggested in the Lok Sabha that there should be a condition that the Lok Sabha should be 20 years old, Rajya Sabha 25 years old and Legislative Council 22 years old. Owaisi also tweeted a video about this.

Bharatiya Janata Party has opposed Asaduddin Owaisi’s private bill. On this, Owaisi also bombarded BJP MPs with questions. Owaisi asked why the party which takes youth MPs as a party is against this bill.
