The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Saturday dismissed four employees from service, including Syed Abdul Mueed, son of banned terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen, Syed Abdul Mueed, and the wife of Bitta Karate, accused in the terror financing case. So far 40 government employees have been sacked in Jammu and Kashmir.

Bitta Karate is currently in jail, accused of fatal attacks on members of the minority community. The four employees have been fired over allegations of links to forces working against India, officials said. These four employees have been dismissed under Article 311 of the Constitution. Under this section, the government has the right to dismiss employees from service without any enquiry, the official added.

Sacked Syed Abdul Mueed was the Information Technology Manager in the Department of Industries and Commerce. He is the third son of Syed Salahuddin. Mueed was allegedly involved in three attacks on the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) campus at Sempora in Pampore. Meanwhile, two employees, Syed Ahmed Shakeel and Shahid Yusuf, were also dismissed last year, the official said.

Shah Faisal again in central service

New Delhi: IAS topper Shah Faisal of 2010 batch of Jammu and Kashmir cadre has been re-inducted by the central government. The Department of Personnel and Training has appointed Faisal as Deputy Secretary in the Union Ministry of Tourism two days ago. Faisal had resigned from government services in January 2019. He then started his own political party, Jammu and Kashmir People’s Movement. However, he left politics in August 2020. Faisal had hinted at a return to administrative service in a tweet in April.
